| Ben and Josephine, the
proprietors, both believe passionately in the traditions of
the British pub and consider that a warm welcome, real ale
and real food are all essential components. The Royal Oak
has earned a truly excellent and well deserved reputation
over in recent years, and customers old and new can be
assured that the Royal Oak will continue to live up to this
reputation for years to come.
Ben is "front of house", and has a genuine interest in
real ales and ciders. Ben looks forward you offering

Josephine is an accomplished Chef, having undertaking an
apprenticeship at the Grand Hotel Brighton and thereafter
extending her experience at other fine establishments
including Babington House, Somerset, before taking over at
the Royal Oak. |
